All our Summer hats are machine-washable at 30C.

Organic fabric quality
All fabrics are excellent quality, organic cotton or linen so no chemicals next to the skin when it's hot - better sunhats for the world and your child.

Mauve Linen - lightweight 100% organic linen - very rare!
Blue - lightweight organic cotton
Khaki UV-80 and Terracotta UV-80 - medium-weight organic cotton offering natural, certified Factor 80 sun protection.

Natural UV Protection - Certified!
These UV-80 sunhats we believe are the very first natural, organic clothing to have received UV certification. There is no coating - it is down to the colour and the density of the cotton. So you can rest assured that your child is protected - naturally.

If it is a very hot day (over 30C) and you feel that the sunhats might be a bit too warm, you can soak them in water. This then evaporates, keeping your little one cool as well as keeping them protected!

Sizing
We have translated the centimetre sizing into approximate age bands. For greater accuracy, measure your child's head around the broadest part - usually the forehead to the back of the head.

Our sizing:

• 40cm we give as 0-3m
• 44cm we give as 3-6m
• 48cm we give as 6-12m (size up for bigheads!)
• 52cm we give as 1yr - 3yrs
• 56cm we give as 3yrs - 10yrs, but this may be the right sunhat for your 2-year-old boy or for your 13-year-old girl.

Sun Safe
Remember - go get your sun hats now so your child is safe and comfortable when the heat is on. Old sceptic that I am, I do believe what the dermatologists tell us: the most important sun protection is the clothing your child wears - long sleeves and a good sunhat such as this one are so much better than short sleeves and a baseball cap!
