The range of sleepwear can be bewildering! Here's a simple guide.

  • Choose organic or minimally-treated natural fabrics for your little one's sleepwear. This ensures that there's no cocktail of chemicals next to your baby's skin all night long. And natural fabrics are naturally breathable.
  • For problem sleepers, surround them with wool. Studies repeatedly show that wool aids sleep!

  • Nightgowns are brilliant sleepwear. Look for poppers along the bottom for easy nappy changing and fold-out scratch mitts.
  • Any babygrow can be used for sleepwear. Have a look at our all-in-one section for more choice.
  • For sensitive skins or eczema, use a silk/cotton body under cotton all-in-ones.
  • Whether you go for pyjamas or traditional sleepsuits, the choice is yours!

    Sleeping with wool close to the body helps babies sleep better - and adults too. Studies have shown that early babies thrive and gain weight more rapidly when lain on wool rather than cotton. Grown-ups have a more restful nights sleep, waking up less, and with a more relaxed heartbeat, when sleeping on or under wool rather than man-made fibres.

    So, give your little one the best chance of a good night's sleep by using Merino wool sleepwear or sleeping bags.
