About these tights
Combining GOTS-certified organic cotton with 2% elastane ensures a good fit at all times and good shape retention wash after wash, and the comfort and breathability that minimally processed organic cotton can offer.
On our size guide, the age is just a guide based on average UK size for children but. The size in cm refers to the overall height of the child (from head to toe).
If you are considering the white tights, you might like to know that they come in pure white rather than natural white, so it is better for school uniforms and occasion wear.
For those of you looking for pure organic cotton tights for children with no elastane we also carry these tights category. We have decided to introduce a very limited amount of elastane in our organic clothing for older children, as pure cotton does not maintain a close fit which is sometimes needed for older children's tights, socks and leggings. All our cotton is organic cotton and we severely restrict elastane use, preferring entirely natural products.
You will always be able to find 100% organic cotton tights, socks and leggings for children and adults here too - and all our baby range is 100% natural at all times. In these tights the organic cotton and elastane benefit each other, with the organic cotton bringing its softness and ability to last and the blend achieving a perfect fit.
We recommend that you measure the child and choose the size tights that will best fit their height in cm.
Example: If a tall 3yr old measures 100cm from head to toe and is growing fast, we recommend that you choose the 4 & 5 yrs (104-110cm) rather than the 2 & 3yrs (92-98cm).
Please note that at the bottom on the labels for Grodo's socks and tights indicates from left to right:
Please note that the middle number is NOT a shoe/foot size, it is just an easier for Grodo's staff (and us too) to pick the items.
Make sure to check the right hand side of the label if you want to check the size of an item we have sent you.
- The number on the left - e.g.: 12625 - is the model number.
- The middle number - e.g.: 1-2 - is the manufacturer's order of sizes; 0 being the smallest size that Grodo produces up to 12 for the biggest size they produce.
The number on the right - 19-22 - is the European size.
