Flordemano

The Flordemano hand knitted collection is produced by Manos del Uruguay, a non-profit making organisation of craftswomen from rural areas in Uruguay. Manos works with various co-operatives throughout the country using various knitting and weaving techniques which refer back to ancient traditions. The high quality garments and accessories are made mainly with the country's wool resources and natural fibre blends, which, combined with a traditional technique of dying small quantities of yarn at a time, result in unique, one-of-a-kind products. Manos was created in 1968 as a non-profit making organisation to promote social and economic development and is a full member of the World Fair Trade Organisation.
