"These are great! (I think I may have trimmed them ever-so-slighly to fit perfectly.) They are soft but warm and still going strong a year later. But, I do take them out in the summer - or leave them in my boots until the winter. I now have warm feet - even standing on cold floors"

and could also be used as a handy travel clothes wash bar, (maybe cut a piece off for backpacking?)
