"My baby and my toddler have 2 pairs each of these trousers and they don't really need anything else. We just rotate their two pairs about 80% of the time throughout most of the winter, autumn and spring. For example, my daughter wears these by themselves as trousers most days. In the winter she wears thin wool/silk leggings underneath if she's going outside. In the spring she often wears them under dresses and just takes them off and goes bare-legged if she gets too warm. They really are incredibly versatile.

These leggings are water resistant (even more so after a lanolin soak), the majority of dirt brushes off easily, and they are wearable throughout the seasons due to being so highly breathable and temperature regulating. They very rarely need washing and can recover from almost anything with a good airing outside. All this makes them incredibly practical. My children have gone down wet slides, sat on the floor of swimming pool changing rooms and lay down in wet sandpits without"

I wouldn't really recommend this to a friend.

"I love that this is so warm in the cold weather, but breathable enough to still be worn when it's a little more mild. It's incredibly soft - I love snuggling up to my baby when he's wearing this. It fits generously, which is a good thing. My son could wear the 6-12 months size as a 4 month old, and due to the cuffs it didn't swamp him too much. But also my 2.5 year old wore it to bed one night when we were on holiday and the heating broke. Her baby brother's 6-12 month suit was only slightly cropped on her, and it kept her comfortable all night (I don't suggest wearing it to bed regularly as it wouldn't be the safest due to having a hood, but it did well in a pinch). She loved it so much that I ended up getting her the jacket version when we got home. It's also lovely to have a pramsuit with buttons, which are beautiful and wooden and have held up perfectly so far."

"I've said this about multiple Cosilana wool/cotton/silk items - the way the different fibres take up the dye make the colours so beautiful. This is a lovely light vest, which can be worn under clothes or by itself when it's hot. My daughter wears it constantly, and it airs out really well so rarely needs washing."

I'd recommend this to a friend.

"This is such a beautiful dress. I have it for my daughter in pink, but I look back at the Cambridge Baby site every few weeks and think about buying more in different sizes/colours! It's really versatile and can be basically lived in year-round. Over the past few months my daughter has worn it by itself, with a top or jumper layered underneath, and with a cardigan over the top. The boiled wool is lightweight and soft, and can be worn into the spring and summer. It's even great for muddy garden play. Just hang the dress up for a few hours until the mud dries and then brush it off - good as new!

I've knocked off one star, only because it could have washed better. I fully intended to never wash this dress and only ever spot-clean. However, after an unfortunate and dramatic vomiting situation (in the middle of Disneyland no less...) I was left with no choice. Luckily, the shrinkage was very minimal, but the dress does now curl up slightly at the ends. I don't think it's really a fault "

"The colours on these are so lovely that they're almost wasted being worn as vests, and I've been happy to be able to use them as tops now the weather is a little warmer. They are light and cool and wonderfully silky-smooth to the touch. Great to protect baby's skin from the sun without overheating."
