"It really is very warm and the only drawback is that it is slightly scratchy wool if worn on bare skin."

I wouldn't really recommend this to a friend.

"I have given these to NZ friends and family. The sun is strong in NZ so a good hat is imperative. These have quickly become a favourite. The colours have held exceptionally well (again the sun tends to bleach things quickly in NZ) and they look great after a lot of hard use. Due to the elastic around the brow band, and the ties, the sizing is quite flexible meaning they can grow with the child"

"We're looking for medium thickness wool socks for our daughter to be paired with her school shoes when the weather is not too cold and a pair of boots would be too warm for those days. Though abit tight around the lower calf and ankle,these socks work well."
