"I wear it under the matching long sleeved top and with the matching leggings. Feels & looks great. The vest is longer than the top which gives a nice layering effect. I have all 3 in the maroon too."

Women's Scoop Neck Vest Top in Merino Wool and Silk
"I am male! I am a 36 inch chest and the 42/44 is perfectly sized for me.
I wanted a breathable item with a low enough neck to wear under a jumper or shirt without it showing above the neckline of the outer wear. All other items have a neckline which is far too high. This one is (just about) low enough not to show, being about as "scoop" as the average crew neck jumper.
The fabric is soft, though not as soft as Living Crafts items. It is comfortable enough to wear as a pyjama top and its breathability is wonderful for this.
It also works well as outdoor hillwalking wear, where it serves as a thermal under layer or even as a summer top. I don't think I would wear it as a top in a social setting though.
The slight annoyance is the label at the back of the neck. It tends to stick up. I do wish manufacturers would put their labels at the bottom (waist end) rather than the neck. They nearly all put them at the top and it is always annoying.
I have washed the item several time"
