"It's great for layering over a vest for spring/autumn (or what passes for summer in the UK), and under a jumper in winter. My son has worn it most weeks for over a year now.

It also rarely needs washing, compared to his other cotton clothes. It's weirdly dirt-repellant and a little cold water dislodges everything from food to play-doh. It only needs washing when it no longer smells fresh after an airing overnight.

My only grumble is that the sizing runs quite small. We got a 104 size and my average-sized son wore it from the time he turned 2, and it's now running a little small for him at age 3."

"this is a very useful item to have, especially for a newborn, as it is easy to dress baby with the sideways fasteings. very soft and the v neck comes low enough to layer well with other tops and dresses. go a size up though, I found them a bit small especially after many washes."

"Lovely silk baby best very soft and luxurious,deliver was also extremely quick when I needed the size down. We are using the size 12-18 months for my 15 month old and it will fit her until she's two I predict so sizing generous."

"Really good quality hats (you get what you pay for). I bought two hats for my twins as they both hated me tying on hats under their chins. I was sold on the internal band holding the hat on and although they are a little large at present the hats stay on - yeah! The label inside is also big enough for a name and telephone number - just in case someone has a strop at the park. I haven't had need to wash them yet but I think they'll be just fine."

"In general I am satisfied with the hats, but I have quite a small head, so instead of getting the teenage/adult size, I had to buy the 3-10 years one for myself, and the flap is not long enough to fully cover my neck (i.e. the gap above my top).

I don't know if the adult one would have been longer, but if it fits my head, it should fit my neck too. So it would be good if the flaps were longer. It is long enough for my 5 year old daughter, but I suspect before she is 10 it won't be.

As the neck flap was the main reason I chose this particular hat, it's a bit annoying. At least I managed to get one before we stop trading with Germany though..."
