The organic Merino wool is certified as organic by IMO to GOTS standards.
The use of pesticides both on the meadows and the animal is inadmissible. The animals procreate in a natural way and any kind of change on the animal such as trimming the tail or mulesing are forbidden. In short – the sheep should live a happy life!
The certified organic origin of the wool ensures that it has been produced without noxious substances like pesticides and herbicides.
Wool (and thus Merino wool) has many benefits when worn next to the skin and about the body. Find out more about the properties of wool here in our blog.
The addition of silk results in a fabric that is luxuriousy silky to the touch. Silk is a natural temperature regulator, helping the body retain heat in cold weather and excess heat is expelled in warm weather. Therefore your body maintains a natural, comfortable temperature.
Silk is hypoallergenic; it does not attract dust mites and is a natural fungal repellent.
With it's extremely smooth and soft texture silk proves to be beneficial for those with sensitive skin conditions (e.g. Eczema). Silk does not conduct static electricity.
Organic Merino wool combined with the gentle, skin-friendly properties of silk makes the ultimate fabric for the well-being of the skin and body.
Wool is naturally self-cleaning, the outer surfaces of the fibre pushing dirt down and off itself. It's naturally anti-bacterial and neutralises odours too. Silk also releases dirt easily
Wash on a 30oc wool cycle in the washing machine. Use a liquid wool shampoo or detergent as sold in our fabric care category here.
"First thing my son wore ever I thought the first size was tiny and might not fit him but he was born tiny and fitted great then I got the size up and thought that was very large considering I just went up one size but he grew fast and they also fit very well lol I will keep buying them"

"We were looking for a sleep suit with integrated scratch mitts for my son who scratches his face and head all night. Very hard to find them in larger sizes and especially tricky to find one that fits over cloth nappies. We’ve been using this vest every night for the past three weeks and it fits brilliantly over a heavily boosted bamboo nappy plus knitted wool overpants. I’ve only washed it twice and otherwise just hang it above an open window to air. Downsides are that it is complicated to fasten the poppers, a colour coded system might help! And I doubt he’ll still fit in it at 12 months over his massive nappy, and a standard three-popper vest extender wouldnt work with it. It’s not a particularly attractive garment but highly functional and does the trick perfectly!"
This was washed... had to be careful

"I absolutely love these bodysuits! My daughter has been wearing them since day 1. They are so soft and breathable, fantastic for regulating body temperature-- perfect for layering. The fabric has plenty of stretch and there is an extra set of snaps at the crotch, so they have fit her for longer than her other vests. My husband seems to find the snaps a little confusing, but I have no trouble with them. Even though the fabric is wool/silk, I am able to wash them on a regular cotton cycle with no issues. Honestly, if my baby only had one type of bodysuit, I would choose this one."
